Beemo Technologie was created by Gabriel Biberian in the middle of the “internet bubble” and tape backups.
From the outset, the company distinguished itself on the market by the relevance of its “Data Safe Restore” disk-to-disk-to-cloud backup solution : a locally installed “BeeBox” backup server removes viruses, encrypts and compresses data and replicates them on two data centers. The data is then triple backed up and secure.
Over the years, Beemo has surrounded itself with quality partners to develop its market and has developed a range of new services and major new features for its BeeBox :
- the VSS plug-in for hot-backup of databases,
- the MS Exchange plugin to manage Exchange transaction logs,
- the “NAS” file sharing option and connection to remote NAS devices,
- the daily backup report, etc.
These technological advances enable Beemo to offer its customers a backup solution that is always at the cutting edge and to consolidate its leadership in the market.
An overview of the past decade :
- 2002 : Beemo Technologie moves to the Hôtel Technologique de Château-Gombert, Marseille Innovation incubator
- 2003 : Beemo Technologie obtains authorisation for operations relating to cryptology means and services
- 2004 : Already 80 customers (representing more than 500 GB saved) and a dozen active partners
- 2005 : New incremental backup and email archiving features
- 2006 : New data retention functionality (unlimited versioning)
- 2007 : Beemo Technologie competes with IBM and its Tivoli offer on the large accounts market
- 2008 : New BeeBox with low energy consumption
- 2009 : Beemo Technologie joins forces with the GENAPI Group, the leading French software publisher for the legal profession
- 2010 : Launch of a new subscription-free backup mode : the Box2Box
- 2011 : Sage chooses Beemo Technologie to back up its customers’ data
- 2012 : Launch of the operator offer dedicated to the implementation of private backup clouds
Building on its growth momentum – a turnover of 2 million euros in 2011, more than 4,600 customers and 70 certified partners – Beemo has doubled its staff this year in order to develop its partnerships and increase its customer portfolio in Europe and internationally.
