Why did you choose Beemo backup solutions ?
For several reasons :
Techniques : The solution combines the strength of a remote backup solution thanks to data outsourcing, with the possibility of having a local backup for recurring interventions (accidental deletion/modification of files). The solution eliminates the human element of backup management : there is no media to change, and therefore no risk of forgetting. The data is encrypted and compressed to limit space consumption and is scanned for viruses. History functions are also available.
Commercial : The licence format allows an unlimited number of workstations or servers to be backed up with no impact on the cost of the backup. The number of agents (SQL, Exchange, VMWare…) is available at no extra cost. The locally placed Beemo allows us to have a greater number of elements backed up locally than we outsource, thus allowing the client to pay only for the outsourcing of the data they consider most vital. The only constraint is the storage capacity of the local Beemo (and the associated backup packages).
Competitive : The Beemo solution offers an advantage that is easy to explain to the customer and the prospect. It is very easy to oppose it to a backup on removable media (RDX, LTO…) because of the technical value of the product and its price. To my knowledge, no other backup solution offers triple storage.

Our customers are small businesses looking for an efficient, reliable and cost-effective backup solution. The Beemo2Beemo offer meets all these criteria. We install the second Beemo either at a remote site of the company or at the home of its legal representative.
Can you tell us about the use of the Beemo tool by one of your customers who was the victim of a cryptolocker attack ?
One of our clients was infected with cryptoware on a manager’s workstation with access to a large amount of data, which resulted in the encryption of the client’s entire data. After isolating and cleaning the affected workstation, we restored the data from the Beemo within a few hours. The transfer speed between the Beemo and the server allowed us to restore over 200GB in a few hours, much faster than if we had to restore from LTO. The Beemo data is immediately available, which is essential in this type of disaster scenario. We were able to restore the customer’s data without using the outsourced versions, only from the local backup sets on the Beemo.
