Since when has the urgency of a safeguard solution been felt by notaries ? Why ?
Data storage has always existed in notary’s offices, but every year the volume to be stored inevitably increases. In 2005, the issue of backup is much more noticeable : some studies in Paris are starting to employ technicians to copy and archive files on tape. However, the backups kept within the study were still vulnerable in the event of a disaster. In 2008, the Chamber of Notaries therefore decided to set up a technology committee to address this issue.
How did you select your solution provider ? What were the test phases ?
To evaluate the relevance of the online backup solutions available on the market, 5 were tested by 10 notary’s offices on the basis of very precise specifications : conservation of backups on the notary’s own network, total data security, business continuity in the event of incidents, simple administration. We are very satisfied with Beemo’s vigilance in protecting our data. Each year, as part of the DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan), we carry out a crash test with each study. This additional protection is considered a real “plus” for the profession.
How is the Beemo offer perceived by notaries ?
