Remember to check for expired licences and full cases

In order to guarantee your customers’ backups, it is essential to check for expired licences and full boxes.

In the case of expired licenses on the Beemo2Beemo solution, even if backups continue, and restores are still possible, your customers no longer benefit from the following features :

– Data Safe Restore software updates,
– The use of Sophos antivirus,
– Access to Beemo support,
– Daily alerts and reports,
– Remote connection to your Beemo’s.

Without these features, even if it is still possible for your customer to back up their data, the backup solution no longer offers the same guarantees. Of course, your customer is notified by e-mail 60 days, 30 days, and on the same day of the end of validity of his licence. But to make your backups as secure as possible, it is important to have a fully functioning solution.

How to list expired Beemo2Beemo licenses ?
From the client site, click on the “Licences” tab. Then simply select the “Expired Licences” icon to display the list of those affected.

When your client’s box is full, it is impossible to guarantee the integrity of the backups.
When a backup set cannot perform a backup of its data, an email is systematically sent to you. A full box means that backups no longer take place, files are no longer backed up and therefore cannot be restored.

To check which boxes are overfilled, go to the customer site. Click on the “Hardware” tab, then in the administration console, click on “Disks full” to see the boxes concerned. All cases with a fill level of more than 80% are likely to be affected by these issues.

How to free up space ?
– As a first step, check the backup scope of each backup set to ensure that some data is not included multiple times in the backup.
– If the retention of backup sets is infinite, choose a value between 60 and 90 days. You can also choose to lower the versioning of the largest backup sets.
– If these steps do not allow you to free up space, please contact our Hotline.
– Finally, you can also increase the storage capacity of your client’s data.
