Contrary to what one might think, Microsoft does not have a default backup for its customers’ data ; in case of mishandling, the administrator has no wildcard and can only rely on an external backup to recover lost or corrupted data. It is therefore necessary to secure one’s data if one wants to avoid any catastrophe in the event of a handling error, a cyber attack or even the cutting off of access to a SaaS service.

Since the release of our Microsoft 365 plugin, you could already backup data from OneDrive. It is now possible to save emails in Microsoft 365. Available on demand now, this evolution of our plugin will be deployed on all the Beemo’s next month. The backup method remains the same as with OneDrive, an additional node appears (Mailbox) :

How does it work ?
1- Via the client console, add your Microsoft 365 domains to the backup server,
2- Using the domain’s Microsoft 365 administrator account, validate the various access rights assigned to the Beemo backup application,
3- Finally, set up the Microsoft 365 backup set.

As Beemo is always looking to stay ahead of the curve, future updates of our plugin will allow for SharePoint backup, then full Outlook backup, including contacts and calendars, and finally Teams backup.
