How to make a first backup without saturating the internet connection ?

Backup : sauvegarde en ligne

1) Local synchronization
When installing a Beemo2Beemo, it is advisable to set up the data to be backed up on the first Beemo and then replicate it to the second Beemo on the local network. Once this first replication is done, you just have to move the 2nd box to the remote site. Thus, thanks to data compression and deduplication, future backups will be lighter to replicate over the Internet. Only modified or added file blocks will have to go through the internet.

2) Using USB outsourcing
When you want to install a Beemo2Beemo but the two boxes cannot synchronise on the same local network, you have the option to do a manual replication. You can copy all backups from the Beemo cabinet to an external hard drive connected to the USB port. Once the copy is done, you can send the disk to the second box and contact our technical team to assist you with the copy on the second box. The same procedure is available for customers with a Beemo2Cloud solution. Once the disk has been copied, send it to Beemo Technologie and we will make a copy in our data centers.

NB : USB outsourcing is a procedure that requires the intervention of our hotline. USB outsourcing is included with the installation of each Beemo box if required. However, any additional USB outsourcing is subject to quotation.
